LHR Americas recruit people from around the world to work in Saudi Arabia.Who are we looking for?We are looking for Engineer, Planning, Cost and Control to monitor and control projects progress and cost expenditures against the schedule and cost baseline to identify issues/variance and coordinate the required corrective actions. Analyzes and monitors construction activities to confirm contractor’s claimed progress. Ensures contractors compliance with progress measurement system requirements.Qualifications
  • University degree in Engineering (post-graduation in Engineering, Project Management or related fields is desirable).
  • 15 years’ experience in the petrochemicals or in an industrial environment, with emphasis in Schedule and Cost Controls
  • 5 years’ project management experience
  • On hand experience in planning of projects in development phases.
  • Detail knowledge of Engineering, Procurement tasks and deliverables.
  • Preparation of detailed estimating plans prior to execution, including scheduling and assignment of responsibilities.
  • Co-ordination of risk assessment activities, including preparation of Monte-Carlo type spreadsheet simulations, (if applicable).
  • Expertise in Planning & Scheduling software such as Primavera P6 (enterprise management), Monte Carlo and MS Projects.
  • Hands-on experience in Cost Controls software such as SAP.
  • Advanced knowledge in Project Management skill sets.
  • Expert-level familiarity with policies, work practices, procedures in Sabic and E&P
  • Thorough knowledge in best practices and applicable international codes and standards.
  • Computer literacy in MS Windows
  • Familiarity with estimating software systems such as Aspen Tech (ACCE).
Duties and responsibilities
    • Establish and maintain a close working relationship with the project Controls specialists of the Engineering Contractor(s), exercising the appropriate degree of control such that the responsibilities and liabilities under the contract are maintained.
    • Prepare a reconciliation/validation plan for the various estimates prepared during the project, co-ordinate the input from Company and Assurance group reviews and present recommendations for achieving a considered sound mutually agreed estimate.
    • Organizes periodical risk reviews. Provide close monitoring of the implementation of Project Risk Assessment management plan to ensure that the impacts can be duly mitigated
    • Liaison and co-ordination with project stakeholders, facilities planners, process designers, project execution management and affiliate owner organizations.
    • Preparation of the baseline Level 1 schedule and review of contractor’s schedules Level 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5.
    • Analyze schedule performance and flag early warnings
    • Support Contractor to Perform Risk analysis where required.
    • Set-up and chair monthly & ad hoc review of Schedule updates.
    • Critically reviewing the Planning Schedules of the Contractor, providing advice for improvements and monitoring the progress of the Contractors activities against the contract schedule identifying potential deviations and making proposals for corrective actions.
    • Updating and maintaining project schedules in accordance with approved work plans, long-term strategic plans and other schedule and plan tools;
    • Review of schedule performances of all projects to ensure compliance against the approved Schedules and progress curves.
    • Establishing estimate requirements and Review and provide comments to the estimation plan.
    • To develop a cost estimation plan (cost, schedule, and resources to prepare the estimate).

  • Interviews stage

You will be told to go to the location.The client interview contains technical questions that help assess your familiarity with problem-solving in your given field and may include a behavioral evaluation.
